'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
